Chris Horodecki Bio

Chris Horodecki (born September 24, 1987) is a professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. He is currently fighting as a lightweight for Affliction

Biography

Horodecki was born in Poland and moved to London, Ontario, Canada as a youth. At age 13, he attended a seminar run by Shawn Tompkins in Ontario and was hooked.

He developed his skills quickly, particularly his striking, and just days after his 18th birthday dispatched his first opponent, a 29-year-old with eleven previous bouts.

Horodecki was upset by Ryan Schultz in the finals of the 2007 IFL Grand Prix, failing to become the first IFL Lightweight Champion.

Following his first career loss, Horodecki rebounded with a unanimous decision victory over veteran Nate Lamotte.[1]

He currently teaches MMA Striking at Xtreme Couture Mix Martial arts in Toronto with fellow Affliction fighter Mark Hominick.

Personal life

Chris is studying to become a paramedic.
