Sami Berik Bio
Sami Berik (born October 23, 1979) is a Turkish professional mixed martial artist who is a Cage Rage veteran, and has competed in the Cage Rage Contenders series. Berik has fought current Ultimate Fighting Championship fighters Dan Hardy, Terry Etim, and Ross Pearson and also fought Ultimate Fighting Championship veterans Paul Kelly, Paul Daley, Samy Schiavo, David Lee, Andre Winner, and Leigh Remedios.
Biography
Berik was introduced to Wing Chun by a good friend and went along to a class run by Lakis Phillipou.
He took part in T'ai chi tournaments in Europe and also played a part in The British Open, as well as kickboxing. His first mixed martial arts fight was at Ultimate Combat 6: Battle in The Cage, where he submitted Terry Thompson with a rear naked choke at 4:11 of round two.
Since March, 2006, he has also trained in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, with Gracie-trained instructor Eddie Kone at Bloodline Fight Team in London.
