Brock Larson Bio
Brock Orville Larson (born August 23, 1977) is an American mixed martial artist from Brainerd, Minnesota. He most recently competed in the welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Larson also competed in World Extreme Cagefighting, before it discontinued its welterweight division, and on the independent circuit. Larson was a successful wrestler defeating UFC fighter Tommy Speer in an all-grappling match in St Cloud, Minnesota.
Mixed martial arts career
Larson fought for the WEC Welterweight Championship on August 6, 2007 but lost to champion Carlos Condit. Larson then fought at UFC 98, defeating Mike Pyle by Arm triangle choke submission, earning him "Submission of the Night" honors.
At UFC 106 he fought Brian Foster. Larson had two points deducted in the first round for an illegal kick and an illegal knee before being defeated in the second round by technical knockout on November 21, 2009, at UFC 106. Following the loss, Larson was cut by the UFC.
Larson faced Tarec Saffiedine on September 11, 2010 at Shark Fights 13 and lost via unanimous decision. He is next expected to face Gabe Wallbridge on October 29, 2010 at King of the Cage - Main Stream.
Larson has spent time training in Seattle with Matt "The Wizard" Hume of AMC Pankration and Joel Jamieson of 8WeeksOut.com.
Personal life
Larson and his wife Kari are expecting their first child.
